Story Walk - National Arboretum, Canberra
Libraries ACT and the National Arboretum have teamed up to bring you a very special Story Walk. Bring the whole family and take a stroll through the Arboretum while reading a picture book written by local author Tania McCartney. The featured story Mamie celebrates the life of May Gibbs. Mamie features beautiful illustrations of beloved gum trees and the magical creatures that Gibbs found in them.
Starting at the Visitor Centre, Download the map at the first Story Station near the Village Centre or pick up a printed map from the Village Centre during open hours. Follow the 600m route to each stop to find out what happens next in the story.
Wear covered footwear and bring water, hats and sunscreen. Please note that this activity is not pram friendly as some stations are located in forested areas with uneven terrain.
