Launch into Other Worlds: Exploring the Universe of Graeme Base with extended opening hours on Friday 26 November 2021. To celebrate the long anticipated exhibition, you can visit from 10am-8pm and enjoy Late Night by the Lake with drinks and music by the Monica Moore Trio from 5pm.

Bring the whole family and get up close and marvel at original illustrations from the book, “The Worst Band in the Universe” by Australia’s favourite children’s author, Graeme Base.

Feeling inspired by Base’s thrilling and detailed works? Local artists byrd and Hanna Hoyne certainly have been – see how they have responded to these otherworldly themes in fantastical, large-scale murals in our Generator Gallery. And don’t forget to keep your eye out for aliens hiding around the Centre – can you find them all?

As per current health directions in the ACT, visitors to the exhibition will not be required to wear masks while in the centre. Free disposable masks will be available to wear if desired.
