In the kitchen this week the children learnt about the Diary Group. They remembered that this group has foods in it that make us GROW - especially when you are in Kinder and Year 1! We discovered that many of us had milk with our dinner and that cheese was also a good source of dairy.

The Kinder crew had fun making smoothies and the Year 1s made cheese muffins which they enjoyed at the end of cooking as well as taking them home to share.

In the garden this week, thanks to a fire pit used by the STEM classes, the Garden Club learnt how to dig over a garden bed with charcoal. First, we needed to weed it and then with trowels and gloves on hands we dug the small chunks into the bed in preparation for our next seedlings. As usual fun was had by all.

Oh and have a close look at the photos - our resident Maggie has friends. All three enjoyed some left over cheese muffin from cooking.
