This week in the kitchen and garden Year 1, Kinder and Garden Club were busy.

Year 1 learnt how to weed garden beds in preparation for the seedlings to be planted. They discovered that the weeds will compete with their plants andt herefore need to be removed.

Year 1 and Kinder had fun in the kitchen learning about how all 5 food groups can be included in one recipe and that each meal should include something from each group. This will make them GO, GLOW and GROW. Cracking eggs was also as fun as ever!!

The Garden Club spent Friday lunch time harvesting potatoes and lemons. Some students were then asked to juice the lemons. We must be doing something right and looking after the trees as the lemons are HUGE!!!
