KITCHEN GARDEN PROGRAM
In the Kitchen Garden we have been busy.
Years 3 and 4 made themselves busy by cooking with produce from our garden.
In Health they are learning about the Vegetable Group and why this is so important to their health.
They used spinach, tomatoes and potatoes to make chips and zucchini slice. We also had a first sustainability lesson where the children learned that vegetables don’t always look perfect and that we shouldn’t throw them away just because of this. They did this by looking at how different carrots can look but they taste the same!!
In Garden Club we watered and cleared some garden beds so that we are ready to plant some yummy produce.
