THE KITCHEN GARDEN PROGRAM
Another exciting week in the kitchen and garden.
Our Year 6 students were away at camp so our Year 5 students spent their kitchen time cooking up breakfast biscuits which had rice bubbles, cornflakes and oats in them. They also made ANZAC biscuits. Yum! What fun they had learning about the Grain Food Group and then enjoying the food they made.
In the garden our crew harvested carrots, watered and composted. There were smiles all round!! The children also found out that just because a carrot looks a bit strange doesn’t mean we waste it.
