PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome back to another school year. I hope and trust that you and your families had a wonderful Christmas and New Year holiday, and it was a time of renewal for you and your loved ones. The children have started back very well, as have the staff, and we are all looking forward to another very good year of learning.

Apart from our two new Kindergarten classes, we welcome 13 new students from Grades 1 – 6. I welcome the following families, all of them new to Sts Peter and Paul:

Arce, Buchanan, Brewer, Centenera, Cole, Conley, Connley, Dawson, Dobbs, Fenton, Ghalib-Hobbs, Harley, Hedjazi, Lewis, Lin, Mangos, Mare, Martin, Mulemena, Neit, Patun-Og, Phiri,  Ratlou, Reefman, Robin, Rutledge, Shrestha, Susan George, Thomas, Van Der Griend, Walkom, Wenn

Whether new or returning, I welcome back all of our families, students and staff.

Meet and Greet Night

Next Monday night, at 6pm, we will gather in the hall for a ‘Meet and Greet’ night. Following a short presentation from me, during which the staff will be introduced, parents will have the opportunity to meet their child’s teachers outside, at a ‘booth’, and establish the relationship so essential between home and school. Parents will also receive a Term Overview and Letter, which will provide valuable information for the term ahead. I look forward to seeing you there on the night.

Reconciliation Information Night

Next Tuesday night, at 6pm, there is an Information Night for parents of children in Year 3 who are making their First Reconciliation. The Information Night will be conducted online. Fr John will be joined by Emily Capper and Veronica Hall, our RECs from Holy Trinity and Sts Peter and Paul, respectively. It is important that all parents of children who are receiving the sacrament this year attend the meeting.

Year 6 Camp

In other exciting news, our Year 6 students are going on their school camp in two weeks. Like last year’s Year 6 students, our 2023 Year 6s will go to Borambola Sport and Recreation camp, near Wagga Wagga. It is an excellent camp, and our students will have a very good experince. I look forward to joining our students on camp.

Have a wonderful week with your families and I look forward to catching up with many parents in the coming days.
