THE KITCHEN GARDEN PROGRAM
Lots of learning took place in the kitchen garden program this week.
The children learnt why it’s so important to eat food from the dairy group. We used two different types of cheese to make spinach and cheese squares. We picked spinach from our garden and sat on our Indigenous cushions and enjoyed our pasties. We talked about shapes and counted as we mixed and stirred.
In the garden we had some new children help to plant our potatoes which had all grown roots and needed a garden bed. It was a very fun time getting dirty in the garden. Garden Club with crazy hair made it extra special.
