Kitchen Garden Program
This week Years 3 and 4 continued preparing for the Canberra Show. They used fresh lemons to make lemon curd. Many skills were needed to make this such as cutting, squeezing, and mixing. Working as a team is also critical in cooking. Fingers crossed for team Sts Peter and Paul!
In the garden we watered, trimmed, and made sure all newly planted vegetables are growing. Our basil is almost ready and will be planted this week in garden club.
The children are continuing to learn about healthy eating in the classroom and are learning why each food group is important.
