This week some of our Year Six students made their Confirmation at Holy Trinity Church. We had a lot  of preparation, learning in our home group as well as learning at Holy Trinity on our retreat day. On the retreat day we learned about what we were going to do at the mass. Some of the saints that were chosen were, Saint Angela of Merici, Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, Saint Rose of Lima and Saint Christoper. A few kids from Holy Trinity and Saint Paul and Paul got to do the readings at the mass. Preparing was so much fun with many different ways of learning by games at Holy Trinity and having our own time to research our saint in class. We had so much fun learning the ways of our chosen saints. During this process we also had many gatherings with other families and friends, learning about their saints and how their life story impacted or inspired them. At Mass we got a silent blessing when Father John put his hands on our head and said a silent prayer. We felt excited and a bit nervous but in the end we were all proud to be a part of our Catholic community.
