APPLE CRUMBLE
Ingredients
5 green apples, peeled, cored and cut into 2cm cubes (approximately)
1/2 cup caster sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tspn ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups plain flour
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 cup rolled oats
225 g unsalted butter, softened
Method
Preheat oven to 180 degrees and grease a large ovenproof dish.
Place the apples, sugar, lemon juice and half the cinnamon in a large bowl and mix to combine.
Place the flour, remaining sugar, remaining cinnamon, oats and butter in a separate bowl and rub together with fingertips to combine.
Pour the apple mixture into the prepared dish and top with the crumble mixture.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown and apples are soft.
Serve with ice cream or cream.
Lovely for dessert on a cold winter night.
