RECIPES FROM OUR KITCHEN
SPINACH DIP
Ingredients
250 g frozen spinach
1 small onion, chopped
1 pkt spring vegetable soup
3 tbs mayonnaise
4 tbs sour cream
1 cob loaf of bread
Method
Mix the onion vegetable soup packet, mayonnaise and sour cream together in a small bowl & refrigerate overnight.
Tear the bread out from the middle of the loaf to create a bowl, save the torn bread for dipping.
Cook frozen spinach in the microwave for 6 minutes, then drain and mix is with the other ingredients.
Place dip into the centre of the loaf and serve with torn bread.
HUMMUS
Ingredients
425 g can of chickpeas, drained
2 cloves garlic, peeled & crushed
2 tbs lemon juice
1 tbs tahini
Method
Prepare ingredients and place in a bowl.
Blend together using a food processor or stick blender, until smooth and creamy.
Place dip in an airtight container and store in the fridge.
Serve with homemade flatbread, corn chips or crostini.
