PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Parents and Carers
Boorowa Netball and Touch football
Last Friday, approximately 60 students attended the Boorowa Netball and Touch Football Carnival, with parents and some past students also in attendance. It was an excellent day and the students participated very well in what was an enjoyable community event. My thanks to the many parents and past students who assisted with coaching and managing the teams, and to the teachers and staff who attended on the day. Special thanks to Mr. Gubler who coordinated our involvement on the day.
2025 Intentions
Sts Peter and Paul are in the final stages of organising staffing for 2025. If you are aware that your child will not be at school next year, but have not yet informed the front office, I would ask please that you let the school know as soon as possible, for administration reasons. Thank you for your support.
Class Lists
Shortly, teachers will begin the process whereby students are asked to nominate 3 friends they would like to have with them in class next year. One of those friends is guaranteed by the school to be with your child next year. If you have any concerns around class placement for next year, I would ask that you email me directly at cameron.johns@cg.catholic.edu.au
World Teacher Day
Today and Friday we are celebrating World Teacher Day (we are holding it over two days due to the days that some teachers and staff work) and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the excellent staff who work so hard for the school and the wider community. I am very fortunate to be principal of a school that has such a committed and talented group of people working for the students. My thanks as well to the Community Council, who are hosting Wednesday’s lunch for the staff, on behalf of the wider parent body.
Crazy Sock Day
A reminder that this Friday is Crazy Sock Day. Students are invited to wear the oddest and loudest socks to school, and to bring in a gold coin donation to school to help raise money for the St Vincent de Paul and their Christmas appeal. My thanks to our acting Religious Education Coordinator, Sarah Walsh, for coordinating this event.
Kindergarten Orientation Day and Information Night
A reminder that next Tuesday we are holding our Kindergarten Orientation Day for 2025, at school, from 9.30am until 12pm. Our 2025 students will be grouped in one of two groupings (classes), with one of next year’s Kindergarten teachers. On the same day, at 6pm, we are holding our Information Night for parents of next year’s Kindergarten classes.
Have a wonderful week with your families.
Best wishes
Cameron Johns
Principal
