This week Kinder talked about how colourful fruit is and made fruit skewers.

Then with Year 1 and Year 3 we made muffins.

These muffins are going to the Vinnies Night Van this week when they collect our Winter Woolies donations.

RECIPES FROM OUR KITCHEN

Chocolate Potato Cake

Ingredients

125g butter

2/3 cup caster sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup mashed potato

1 & 1/4 cup self raising flour

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup milk

Icing sugar, to serve

Method

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease and line a cake tin with baking paper.

Beat butter and sugar in a bowl with electric beaters until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs one at a time until all combined.

Stir in mashed potato and flour, then add the cocoa powder and milk and stir to combine.

Pour mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.

Turn cake out onto a wire rack to cool and dust with icing sugar before serving.
