Word of God Reflection
Turn Around
A major theme of the Scripture readings this Sunday is 'Turn to the Lord to be healed'. The first reading relates an old Jewish practice of branding as unclean those who have leprosy and setting them apart from the community. It may also symbolise current practices of labelling persons and groups and excluding them from the community. In the reading from the First Letter to the Corinthians, Paul calls upon the people to build up the community by imitating those people who imitate Christ. The leper in the Gospel reading did not wait for Jesus to come to him; he recognised his affliction and turned to Jesus for healing. Jesus healed him and sent him back to the community.

Opening Mass
On Friday, we will celebrate Mass as a school community for the first time in 2021. Due to current restrictions in the Church, parents of Year 6 students only will be invited to attend. We look forward to this important occasion to officially commission our wonderful Year 6 leaders.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Families of Year 3 students who have been baptised are invited to enrol their child for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. There is a parent information night commencing at 5:30pm via Zoom (for hosts, parents start at 6pm). More information and documents will be emailed home today. Below are the key details relating to the Sacrament. If you have any question, please feel welcome to contact me via email: fran.garrett@cg.catholic.edu.au
