Dear Parents and Carers,
Year 4 Camp
This afternoon, our year 4 students returned from their first school camp experience, at Birrigai Outdoor Recreation Centre. It was an excellent experience for our youngest campers and all involved had an excellent time. My thanks to our teachers who accompanied our students: Michele Hallis-Pratt, Katie Birch, Bridget Pigram and Sam Mance.
Parent/Teacher Interviews & Reports
Yesterday, booking times for the Semester 1 Parent/Teacher interviews were made available to all parents. Interviews will take place in Week 9, over Monday – Wednesday. Monday is the late day for all classes. I encourage all parents to make a time to see their child’s teacher, to discuss with him or her their child’s progress over the Semester. My thanks to all teachers for their time and dedication to the students. Reports will be published early in Week 10.
School Disco
A reminder that the school disco is being held this Friday in the school hall. The K – 2 children are from 5.45 – 6.30pm, and the 3 – 6 grades are from 6.50 – 8pm. My thanks to the Community Council for their support and initiative and to Daniel Muller for his generosity and time in providing the music and sound system.
Save the Date: Working Bee
On Sunday June 29th, at the end of week 9, the Community Council is organising a two-hour working bee, to help beautify the school grounds and to give a general tidy. The time of the working bee is from 10am - 12pm. If you are able please to spare some time on the Sunday, I would love to see you there.
Snow Trip
The first of the 2025 optional Snow Trips is taking place in Week 9 on Thursday, June 26th. My thanks to Luke Gubler who has coordinated this optional excursion for years 3 – 6. This year’s focus is on tobogganing, and the students who are attending will have a very good time.
Have a wonderful week with your families.
Best wishes

On Wednesday Week 8, 18th June, join us for Wednesday Winter Woolies - wear your coziest winter clothes and bring a warm item to donate. Coats, scarves, gloves, blankets, and jumpers are all welcome! If you’re unable to bring a donation, a financial contribution will be just as appreciated.
Let’s make a difference, every small act of kindness keeps someone warm this winter.
The Most Holy Trinity Solemnity - John 16:12-15
A renowned spiritual writer has said that great dogmas of the Church are almost always paradoxical, and we live with paradox. He continues: ‘Mystery is not something we can’t know. Mystery is endless knowability on many levels’. A central mystery of our faith is of course the Trinity. Perhaps today’s chosen readings touch on some of those levels. The Spirit, in the tradition of the Gospel of John, is clearly the continuing living presence of Jesus. When Jesus meets the disciples after the resurrection, he breathes his life spirit into them and commissions them to continue his mission of forgiveness and peace. The living Spirit of Jesus within them will enable them to come to the fuller understanding of all that he has taught them.
Writing to the community in Rome, Paul invites us to reflect on the liberating effect of the love of God which enfolds us when we allow the Holy Spirit to enter our lives. Today let us pray for that Wisdom, that delights to be with us, so that we may gradually deepen our understanding of the Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - and be caught up in wonder, praise and thanksgiving.

SCHOOL WIDE POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR
At Saints Peter and Paul our students are supported by a School-Wide Positive Behaviour framework that was developed by our school community to develop a positive, safe, supportive learning culture.
The framework improves social, emotional, behavioural and academic outcomes for our students.
Our three expectations, Succeeding Together Safely underpin everything we do here at Sts Peter and Paul Primary School.
Our goal for Weeks 7 and 8 is
Thinking and Solving Problems
Think Before You Act: Use your brain to make good choices, even when it’s hard.
Microskill- think through the situation by asking questions like:
● "What will happen if you do that?"
● "How will that make someone feel?"
● "Is this the right thing to do?"
● "What are some other choices you could make?"
